TECH COAST Angels: Web site launch

ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. -- Taking flight with angels. Today, Tech Coast Angels (TCA), a California based company Angel Investment Organization, launched their new Web site designed and developed by Focal55.

TCA, who funded 29 companies in 2009 and invested an average of $463,000 per company, contracted Focal55 to help redesign and deploy their new Web site with Drupal 6.

Joe Ybarra, lead programmer for Focal55 is thrilled about today's release, "This project again proves that there is nothing that open source programming cannot accomplish," Ybarra said.

"Drupal is a monster. It [Drupal] is definitely the wave of the future," Ybarra added.

A noteable accomplishment for the new TCA Web site was integrating the application process with their current application database. Using Drupal's Node API + CCK + the rules engine, the new site has all the benefits of Drupal's node processesing without disrupting TCA's internal management system.  This was Focal55's twelfth Web site launch this year and fourth using Drupal.
